Ozempic prescriptions in the US reached an all-time high with over 373,000 prescriptions filled in Feb.

Common side effects may include:
– Nausea
– Vomiting
– Diarrhea
– Abdominal pain
– Constipation
– Reduced appetite
– Injection site reactions

Serious side effects can include:
– Pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas)
– Changes in vision or diabetic retinopathy
– Hypoglycemia (especially when used with other medications for diabetes)
– Kidney problems
– Allergic reactions
– Possible thyroid tumors, including cancer
