btwb Programs: The O-lifts

We announced the launch of our btwb Programs feature back in April with our first 3 skill programs: First Strict Pull-up, First Push-up, First Strict Handstand Push-up. Today we’re excited to reveal the first of our olympic weightlifting programs. Let’s put that barbell to use!

(If you are anything like us, either you’ve already purchased your own barbell/bumper plate set from Rogue Fitness, or you’ve borrowed some equipment from your gym.)

  • Snatch 1RM
  • Clean 1RM
  • Split Jerk 1RM

Each program is designed to help you improve on your existing 1RMs. Start each program with a recent 1RM, or find a new 1RM on day 1. You’ll be exposed to a number of movements and complexes that will help get your dingy garage feeling like a world class weightlifting facility.

Like the first 3 programs, each of these are included with a standard btwb subscription at no additional cost. They can also be customized to your specific training schedule. You can find all btwb programs in the Programs section on your home screen.


Snatch 1RM

  • Recommendation: 2-3 days/week
  • An 18 session program designed to help you increase your Snatch 1RM.
  • Prerequisite: Experience and familiarity with the points of performance for the Snatch.

Clean 1RM

  • Recommendation: 2-3 days/week
  • An 18 session program designed to help you increase your Clean 1RM. Can be performed simultaneously with the Jerk 1RM program to improve overall Clean & Jerk performance.
  • Prerequisite: Experience and familiarity with the points of performance for the Clean.

Jerk 1RM

  • Recommendation: 2-3 days/week
  • An 18 session program designed to help you increase your Split Jerk 1RM. Can be performed simultaneously with the Clean 1RM program to improve overall Clean & Jerk performance.
  • Prerequisite: Experience with the various overhead lifts (Push Press, Push Jerk, Split Jerk).
