Open 16.4 – Preliminary Analysis

This is part of a series on The CrossFit Games 2016 Open Workouts. For more, checkout: 16.4 Final Analysis, 16.3 Final Analysis, 16.2 Final Analysis, and 16.1 Final Analysis.

Here are some preliminary numbers on 16.4. Although the deadlifts are the scariest part of the workout, the handstand push-ups (HSPUs) are everything.

Currently, finishing the row is only good enough to put you in the 36th percentile for the Rx’d men and the 58th percentile for the Rx’d women. Roughly half of all competitors will end their workout on the HSPU. If you want to make Regionals, you’re going to have to get through the HSPUs and onto the second round of deadlifts.
