August 1st Overview

Starting August 1st our beta period will be over. Most things will act the same as before with the notable exception that you’ll be asked to enter in your payment information. After a lot of research and debate we decided to use Amazon Payments to handle the subscription payments. Not only does this let us stay focused on building great features for you, but also lets us offer our low rate. Amazon has been a leader in e-commerce for years and leveraging that experience means we have lower overall cost which only helps us keep the subscription price low. Also, our members can be confident knowing their personal information is safe.

Let’s go through the sequence so that you know what to expect.

  1. Log into beyond the whiteboard as usual.
  2. View the subscription page with options to pay monthly or yearly. Click one of the Amazon Payments’ Subscribe buttons. Note, gym admins will be shown their gym payment options.
  3. You will be directed to Amazon Payments login page where you can use your Amazon.com account to sign in. If you don’t have one you can create one in under a minute.
  4. Select your payment method, usually the same one you have set for your Amazon.com account.
  5. View a summary of the subscription and payment method, click the confirm button.
  6. You will be directed back to beyond the whiteboard when the sign up is complete.

That’s pretty much it. Amazon Payments will charge you every month (or year) automatically.

Free Trial For Members

New members will get a one month free trial to test out the site before deciding to subscribe.

Free Trial For Affiliates

Affiliate gyms will be given a promo period that will include 10 members and up to 300 workout posts for free. Any of our current gyms that are under this threshold will be added to the promo period.

    You guys need to verify your Amazon email so you can accept payments.

    Hi guys, just wanted to drop a note of gratitude for all of your work. Outstanding.

    I do have a question though. When going in as an affiliate, the only option is for $125/mo (plus) for membership. There are no other options posted.

    Any idea why it’s defaulting to that and not letting me chose/select another option?

    Thanks

    Thank you for this update! It’s exciting to see how BTW is improving over time.

    I do have one request–perhaps you’ve already considered this idea!
    As a female athlete, I would appreciate it if you could (as you do for men) have the womens’ RX weight automatically appear in the workout. As the men’s RX currently simplifies workout entry for those who do that weight, it would be great for women to have that same convenience.

    I appreciate your work!

    Does a new member who would like to be apart of my gym have to subscribe even if I pay for my gym?

    Thanks guys

    @Chris
    We got it fixed. Should work fine now.

    @Gio
    Thanks for your support! We’ll only charge you for the active members in your gym, so don’t worry about how many members you have total. If your members don’t use the site that month they won’t count during billing.

    @Ndyia
    We are going to get this going soon.

    @Peter
    Yea they will have to, although we’ll refund any payments they make, if any, as soon as they enter your gym.

    The link for gym pricing doesn’t seem to work? I only get the 3/mo 33/yr page. What is the affiliate pricing?

    Love the site, thanks guys.

    Strange, I don’t have a tab /link for payment.

    Not that I’m complaining mind you, but it seems odd… The fee is small enough that even with Amazon’s privacy issues I’d pay it without blinking.
